In which my kids make me laugh.

My kids are hilarious.  That's all there is to it.

Like when I bring a chocolate shake home, and Andrew steals it.

He was not happy when I took it away.

Or the time when Ben shared his big jug of gatorade with the kids.  You know, from the jug.

In exchange, Ben was able to hold Emily.

I was able to take cute pictures of Andrew and his beautiful eyes.

And Emily had a melt down when we took the jug away.

A fair trade, I'd say.

Lastly, the time when I spilled water on the floor and the babes started licking it off the floor. I was only able to capture Emily, but Andrew started it.

Oh yeah.  These two make me laugh daily.

The truth and other randomness.

It is cold.  C.O.L.D.  I am not a fan of cold weather.  Being the active family we are, this puts a big cramp in our lifestyle.  I haven't taken the kids on a walk in like a week.  I haven't exercised for even longer.  It's not easy doing these things with kids in the first place, and cold weather makes the process even more difficult.  Now, in addition to the clothes they are already wearing, I have to dress them in socks, shoes, coats, hats, and mittens.  I also have to bring 3 blankets to insulate them against the bitter wind.  Blankets + kids + other paraphenilia = a whole lotta weight for me to lug around.  Not ideal.

Andrew loves me.  I mean, he LOVES me.  When I leave the room, he freaks out.  Even if Ben is holding him.  If I use the restroom, he crawls to the door, knocks, and sits down, waiting for me to emerge.  He is very particular about who lets hold when I am around.  If he is not happy, nobody but me can soothe him.

I think this is adorable.  At times it can be difficult--like when I need to fulfill my calling at church--but for the most part it always makes me smile.

Andrew and Emily had their first haircuts a few weeks ago.  Yeah, before you laugh and ask "what hair did you cut?" I'll show you the pictures.

Andrew Before Haircut

During Haircut

After Haircut

See?  No more curly 'fro.  (Though we adore his curls, we'd just prefer they don't grow mullet style.)

Emily Before Haircut

This would more aptly be referred to as a bang cut.  Still, it counts as her first hair cut.

During Haircut

After Haircut

Yes, I did have to bribe her with a cracker so I could get a good photo.

Emily likes to take off her diaper and sit on the toilet.

Before you suggest she is ready to potty train, know she doesn't actually do anything. Until she proves she is willing to pee or poo on the toilet, I will not let her run around without a diaper.

Emily is having a hard time with Ben working two jobs.  She only gets to see him for like 30 minutes on the days he works both, and when he is only working one, she sees him for only a couple hours.  Weekends included.  It's been difficult because she loves her daddy.  Like really loves him.  So, on the nights he is home, she refuses to sleep.  For the first two nights I thought it was because she was scared of the dark or something; but, since she goes to bed just fine when he isn't home, I realized she is afraid of not seeing him.  So, Ben, Emily, and I hang out when he's home.

I am getting really excited for Thanksgiving--it's my favorite holiday.  Maybe I'll learn how to bake a turkey this year.

Ha.

That's all for today, I guess.

Ahhhh...I think a couple more pictures would be the best ending.
