4- Month Check-up!

We went to the doctor for Emily's 4-month check-up. She is little.  Of course.

Weight: 11.13 lbs. (12th percentile)
Height: 22.5 in. (3rd percentile)
Head circumference: 15.2 in. (22nd percentile)

A 4th year med student was there doing his clerkship in pediatrics. He was really nice and relaxed. He told us that Emmy is small, but nothing to be worried about. At 6-months, he suggested we give her some calorie boost with Carnation instant breakfast--if she is still small.

When our doctor came in, whom we love, he answered all of our questions (because we always have many) and reassured us that Emily is doing great and developing well. He also suggested that we watch how Emily reacts while we are eating and determine by her behaviors whether we should start solids. Since she already wants to eat all our food, we figure we will be starting her on cereal pretty soon.

The finale of the visit was her shots. Today there were only two, thank goodness, but it made Emily (and me) cry. She is still recovering. Thankfully she has her little giraffe (thanks GG Mel and Papa Wayne!) to keep her in good spirits.

We are so grateful our little girl is growing healthy and strong (the doctor even complimented her on her strong abs).

Oh and I wish the doctor would compliment my strong abs.
